At Stay Connected Australia, privacy is very important to us. We are required to comply with the Federal Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and therefore our privacy policy applies to any personal information we collect, use or disclose, including the personal information of our employees and contractors.
How and why we collect personal information
At Stay Connected Australia, we collect your information in some of the following ways including but not limited to: Feedback Form, Booking Request form, enquiry form, phone call, text message, social media communication or any other visual, oral or written communication. We collect personal information in order to provide the services requested by the customer.
We collect this information to support the efficient and personalised communication and delivery of our services to the customer as requested by the customer. Any personal information collected from any individual providing feedback to Stay Connected Australia will only be used for the express purposes of resolving the specific feedback and improving business practices in relation to the feedback.
Any personal information provided willingly by submission of enquiry, booking request, feedback form, phone call or any other form of written or verbal correspondence with an authorised representative of the Stay Connected Australia business will be subject to the same conditions.
Where the need arises, personal information may be collected from authorised sources such as family members or someone authorised to engage with Stay Connected Australia or is booking a service on your behalf with your consent.
How we use and disclose personal information
We do not use or disclose personal information for any purpose that is unrelated to the services we provide and that you would not reasonably expect (except with client consent). We have a duty to maintain the confidentiality of our clients’ affairs, including personal information. Our duty of confidentiality to our clients applies, except where disclosure of personal information is consented to by the client or is compelled by law.
Any personal information or opinions provided by an individual by any written or verbal communication to Stay Connected Australia for the purpose of feedback is freely given to Stay Connected Australia and no reimbursement will be made to the individual. Any of the opinions expressed in feedback provided to Stay Connected Australia by means of any written or verbal communication method is subject to utilisation by Stay Connected Australia for the purpose of business promotion. This information will be de-identified as not disclose who provided this information unless prior consent is gained from you in writing beforehand.
Client personal information may be disclosed to approved third parties who are also required to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Any personal information held by Stay Connected Australia about you will also be used to complete business wide analysis to assist in marketing strategies, business growth and general business wide management. Every reasonable measure will be taken to de-identify any personal information used in business analysis or statics that is shared with authorised third parties for the purposes of business growth and improving service delivery.
Security of your personal information
We endeavour to protect any personal information that we hold from misuse and/or loss, and to protect it from unauthorised access, modification and/or disclosure. We acknowledge that no information storage system is infallible and as such we are unable to guarantee any information provided over the internet can be secured indefinitely, all reasonably expected security precautions will be taken to secure your information.
Any information that is no longer required to be kept by Stay Connected Australia for the purpose of providing you services as requested by you, confirming your consent for any reasonably expected reason, to promote the business from information willingly provided with you de-identified unless written consent is gained from you to do so will be permanently destroyed.
We recommend that where possible you take precautions to securely provide information to us and maintain personal information storage on your technological devices.
